1911 - He was born on the 5th of February in Borlänge, Sweden.
1915 - He made his debut public appearance at the age of four with the Björling Male Quartet.
1930 - His operatic debut as the Lamplighter in Manon Lescaut at the Royal Swedish Opera in Stockholm.
1937 - Björling made his American concert debut in Carnegie Hall.
1938 - He made his debut at the Metropolitan Opera as Rodolfo in La bohème.
1939 - He performed in the Verdi Requiem under Toscanini in Lucerne, Switzerland.
1960 - On the 15th of March, he was suffered a heart attack before a performance at London's Royal Opera House.
- He died on the 9th September because of heart-related causes in Sweden at the age of forty-nine.
