Binney, Thomas
1798 - Thomas Binney was born of Presbyterian parents at Newcastle-on-Tyn, England.
1829 - He accepted a call to the historic King's Weigh House Chapel, London.
1834 - Binney laid the foundation stone of the new chapel himself.
1839 - He was active member of the British and Foreign Anti-slavery Society, which became Anti-Slavery International.
1845 - He had a paid a visit to Canada and the United States.
1852 - University of Aberdeen conferred the LL.D. degree on him.
- He served two times Chairman of the Congregational Union of England and Wales.
1857-1859 - He visited Australian colonies.
1869 - He resigned in the duties of the ministry.
1873 - He preached his last sermon in November.
1874 - He died on the 24th of February and was buried in Abney Park Cemetery, Stoke Newington, London.
