1915 - Ingrid Bergman, born on the 29th of August in Stockholm, Sweden.

1932 - At the age of 17, she auditioned and was accepted to the Royal Dramatic Theatre in Stockholm.

       - Hired at a Swedish film studio that led to her leaving the Royal Dramatic Theater.

1935 - Her first film role was a small part in Munkbrogreven.

1937 - On 10th of July she married a dentist, Petter Lindström.

1938 - On 20th of September, she gave birth to a daughter, Pia Lindström.

1939 - Signed by Hollywood producer David O. Selznick to star in the English language film, Intermezzo.

1942 - Joined Humphrey Bogart in the classic film Casablanca.

1943 - Received her first Academy Award nomination for Best Actress for "For Whom the Bell Tolls".

1944 - She won the Academy Award for Best Actress for "Gaslight".

1945 - 1949 - Starred in the Alfred Hitchcock films "Spellbound", "Notorious" and "Under Capricorn".

1945 - Received a nomination for Best Actress with her performance as a nun in "The Bells of St. Mary's".

1948 - Another Best Actress nomination for "Joan of Arc".

1949 - She met Italian director Roberto Rossellini in order to make the film Stromboli.

1950 - Married Roberto Rossellini on 24th of May.

1952 - On 18th of June she gave birth to twin daughters, Isabella Rossellini and Isotta Ingrid Rossellini.

1954 - Appeared in several Italian films "Giovanna d'Arco al rogo".

1957 - Rossellini-Bergman marriage ended in divorce on 7th of November.

1958 - In Academy Awards, she was the presenter of the Academy Award for Best Picture.

1959 - Appeared of The Turn of the Screw for Startime for which she won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Single Performance by an Actress.

1972 - Senator Charles H. Percy entered an apology into the Congressional Record for the attack made on her.

1974 - Received her third Academy Award for her performance in "Murder on the Orient Express".

1978 - Played in Ingmar Bergman's Höstsonaten (Autumn Sonata) for which she received her 7th Academy Award nomination.

1982 - Honored with her second Emmy Award for Best Actress for the television mini-series "A Woman Called Golda".

       - Died on her 67th birthday in London, England because of breast cancer. She has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 6759 Hollywood Blvd.
