1918 - Born on the 13th of February in in Minneapolis, Minnesota. American golfer, winner of more than 80 tournaments, including a record 15 major women's championships, and first president of the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA).
- Attended the University of Minnesota and was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority.
1931 - Berg began playing golf at the age of 13 and soon showed a remarkable talent for the game.
1934 - Began her amateur career as golfer and winning her first title the Minneapolis City Championship.
1935 - Became the finalist of the U.S. Women's Amateur, losing to Glenna Collett Vare in Vare's final Amateur victory.
1937 - Berg won the Titleholders.
1940 - She turned professional after winning twenty-nine amateur titles.
1942-1945 - In World War II she was a lieutenant in the Marines.
1946 - She won the inaugural U.S. Women's Open.
- Berg won the first U.S. Women's Open, and she won the Titleholders Championship and the Western Open seven times each when they were major tournaments.
1948 - Helped to establish, and became the first president of, the LPGA.(Ladies Professional Golf Association).
1950 - She was the first president of the LPGA when it formally began.
1955 - She was inducted into the LPGA Tour and World Golf halls of fame and was voted The Associated Press female athlete of the year.
1957 - Runner-up in the Open at Winged Foot.
1959 - She was runner-up in the LPGA Championships.
1963 - She was voted the Bob Jones Award, the highest honor given by the United States Golf Association.
1978 - The LPGA established the Patty Berg Award.
2004 - Diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease.
2006 - She died on 10th of September in Fort Myers from complications of the Alzheimer's Disease.
