Ben-Ami, Shlomo
1943 - Born on the 17th of July in Tangier, Morocco.
1955 - Immigrated to Israel.
1959 - Naturalized Israeli citizen.
- Educated at Tel-Aviv University and Oxford University from which he received a Ph.D. in History.
1970 - He was a historian at Tel-Aviv University.
1982-1986 - Served as head of the School of History.
1987-1991 - He was Israel's ambassador to Spain.
1996 - He was elected to the Knesset.
1999 - Ben-Ami became the Minister of Public Security.
2000-2001 - Served as Israeli foreign minister.
2006 - Wrote Scars of War, Wounds of Peace: The Israeli-Arab Tragedy.
