Bellamy, Francis

1855 - Born on the 18th of May.

Graduated from University of Rochester where he was a brother of Alpha Delta Phi Fraternity.

1892 - Composed the original Pledge of Allegiance for the Boston-based Youth's Companion.

1931 - Bellamy died on 28th of August and was buried in Rochester, New York.

His original Pledge:

"I pledge allegiance to my Flag and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation indivisible, with liberty and justice for all"
