Bell, Francis Henry Dillon
1851 - Born on the 31st of May at Nelson, New Zealand.
1872 - Received a B.A. at St John's College, Cambridge.
1878-1911 - Served as Crown Solicitor in Wellington.
1890 - His first general election was defeated running as an independent for the seat of Wellington City.
1892-1897 - Elected Mayor of Wellington.
1901-1918 - He served as the latter's President.
1912 - Appointed to the Legislative Council and became Minister of Internal Affairs and Immigration.
1915 - Became the Minister of Immigration.
1918-1926 - He became the Attorney-General.
1922 - Represented New Zealand at the League of Nations.
1923 - Served as the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
- Became a G.C.M.G. and was appointed to the Privy Council.(Order of St. Michael and St. Georges).
1925 - He became the Prime Minister of New Zealand.
1926 - After giving up his portfolios he returned to the League of Nations with Coates.
1936 - He died on 13th of March in Wellington.
