1937 - Born on the 9th of February in Varel, Germany.

Graduated from the Albert Ludwigs University of Freiburg.

Studied with Ines Leuwen at the Freiburg Academy Of Music.

1971 - Her debut was as the Countess in Le nozze di Figaro in Freiburg.

1972 - She became a member of the Deutsche Oper.

1976 - Made her American debut at the Metropolitan Opera in New York as Giorgetta in Il Tabarro.
