1942 - Director of Social Affairs and Deputy Town Clerk.
- Resigned because he opposed with the German Occupation of The Netherlands.
1946-1948 - Served as Prime Minister of the Netherlands.
1958-1959 - Once again he served as the Prime Minister of the Netherlands.
1977 - Died on the 11th of February in Utrecht, Netherlands.
