1813 - Born on the 13th of June in Litchfield, Connecticut, USA.
1830-1834 - Entered and graduated in Amherst College.
1837-1839 - Became a minister in Lawrenceburg.
- Received a degree from Lane Theological Seminary outside Cincinnati, Ohio.
1839-1847 - Pastor of the Second Presbyterian Church in Indianapolis, Indiana.
1847 - Appointed the first minister of the new Plymouth Congregational Church in Brooklyn, New York.
1861-1863 - He was the editor-in-chief of the Independent, then a Congregational journal.
1875 - Accused of having an affair with a married woman was one of the most famous trials of the Nineteenth century.
1887 - He died on 8th of March because of Stroke and was buried in Green-Wood Cemetery, Brooklyn, NY.
He is the brother of Harriet Beecher Stowe.
