1926-1930 - she wrote several short stories and three plays, including an adaptation of Edith Wharton's novel The Age of Innocence.

 

1931 - Margaret Ayer Barnes won the Pulitzer Prize for her first novel, Years of Grace.  Her older sister, Janet Ayer Fairbank, was also a notable writer.

 

1967 - Margaret Ayer Barnes died October 25, in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
