1929 - Ronald William George Barker was born 25th of September in Bedford, Bedfordshire, England.


Barker attended Oxford High School.


1945 - Ronnie Barker left the school and took a job as a bank clerk.


1948 - He wrote to the Aylesbury Repertory Company and his show business career began.


He then worked as an actor and assistant stage manager with the Manchester Repertory Company.


1956 - Ronnie Barker's first radio appearance, he went on to play a variety of minor characters in The Navy Lark.


1957 - Barker married Joy Tubb.


1971 - He appeared in the film The Magnificent Seven Deadly Sins.


1971-1987 - He appeared on the show The Two Ronnies.


1973-1985 - Ronnie Barker also starred in the Open All Hours Albert Arkwright.


1973-1977 - Starred in the show Porridge Norman Fletcher.
