Bancroft, Hubert Howe

1832 - Hubert Howe Bancroft was born on the 5th of May in Granville, Ohio.

He attended high school in the Granville Academy.

1852-1868 - He managed a bookstore and he began his own publishing house.

Bancroft published a well-known group of local histories.

1885 - Purchased a ranch with an adobe home on it located in Spring Valley, in San Diego County.

1918 - Bancroft died on 2nd of March in Walnut Creek, CA.
