1931 - U.S. Representative from Nebraska in the 2nd District.

1942-1945 - During the Second World War entered the Army on June 10th, as a major in the Air Corps and was discharged as a colonel on October 25th.

         - He resumed the practice of law with offices in New York City, and Washington, D.C.

1985 - Died in Southbury, New Haven County, Connecticut, on January 19th.
