1964 - Ordained by Pentacostal Assemblies Of God and Begins working with Pat Robertson and his Christian Broadcasting Network.
1965-1972 - Worked with Tammy Faye Bakker, co-eponym and co-host of evangelical show "The Jim and Tammy Show".
1966-1972 - with Pat Robertson, co-host of evangelical show "The 700 Club".
1973 - He is the co-founded Trinity Broadcasting Network.
1974 - Created PTL (Praise The Lord) TV show.
1976 - Co-wrote autobiography "Move That Mountain!".
1978 - Founded Heritage U.S.A. theme park (orig. Heritage Campgrounds and Christian Retreat, Inc.).
1987 - Resigned post at PTL due to sex scandal involving Jessica Hahn.
1988 - Charged with illegally diverting millions from PTL for his own personal use.
1989 - Convicted on 24 counts of fraud and conspiracy, and sentenced to 45 years.
1991 - His sentence reduced to 18 years.
