Bach, Richard David

1936 - Born 23rd of June in Oak Park, Illinois.

1955 - Attended in Long Beach State College.

1956-1962 - Served to Captain in the U.S. Air Force.

1961-64 - Associate editor of Flying Magazine.

1965-1970 - Charter pilot, flight instructor, aviation mechanic, and barnstormer in and around Iowa.

1970 - Authored numerous works of fiction and nonfiction, including Jonathan Livingston Seagull (1970), Illusions (1977), One (1989), and Out of My Mind (1999).

1970 - Won the Nene award for his book, "Jonathan Livingston Seagull".

1973 - Met second wife, actress Leslie Parrish, in while filming his book "Jonathan Livingston Seagull." She was a researcher on the project.

         - Sued the producers of the movie "Jonathan Livingston Seagull," based on his popular existential book, for altering the film without his permission.

1980 - Nominated for the American Book Award for "Illusions".
