Aspillera Diaz , Gloria Maria
1950 - Born in the Ilocos region of Northern Philippines. She was the first Filipino to bring home the Miss Universe crown.
1969 - At the age of 18 she became Miss Universe held in Florida, USA.
2005 - Received the most-coveted FAMAS Award (Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences) for Best Supporting Actress in her role as a spinster adoptive mother in the FAMAS Best Picture Nasaan Ka Man.
