Arosemena Monroy, Carlos Julio

1919 - Born on August 24th in Guayaquil, Ecuador. Ecuadoran politician, lawyer and diplomat and the son and grandson of former presidents.

1960 - He became vice president and acceded to the presidency upon the ouster of President Velasco Ibarra.

1961-1963 - Elected president of Ecuador.

         - Was installed as president of Ecuador after the military overthrew Pres. José María Velasco Ibarra.

2004 - Died on March 5th in Guayaquil.
