Died: 1944 AD, at 84 years of age.

1917 - At Passchendaele, also known as the Third Battle of Ypres, Anthoine and the French First Army were set the task of guarding the BEF's northern flank from enemy attack across the Yser Canal. Herbert Plumer's Second Army was given the parallel task of Anthoine, guarding the BEF's southern flank.
