Anster, John
1793 - Born in Charleville.
- He was educated at TCD.
- He became Regius Professor of Civil Law.
1835 - His verse translation of the first part of Goethe's Faust as Faustus: A Dramatic Mystery was acclaimed immediately.
1864 - The second part followed Xeniola.
1867 - John Anster died.
