1601 - Born on September 22nd in Valladolid, Spain and baptised Ana Maria Mauricia. The queen consort of King Louis XIII of France and regent during the opening years of the reign of her son King Louis XIV.

1615 - Anne was married to the 14-year-old Louis XIII in November.

1637 - The Cardinal humiliated her by proving that she had been visiting the nunnery of Val-de-Grâce in order to conduct treasonable correspondence with Philip.

1643 - She became regent after Louis' death, demonstrating political skill in the face of widespread troubles.

1651 - Louis XIV was proclaimed of age to rule.

1666 - Died on January 20th in Paris.
