1946 - Born on December 16th in Stockholm, Sweden. Swedish musician, singer, songwriter, and writer of musicals. Member of the singing group, ABBA.
1961 - He left school at the age of fifteen and began to perform at youth clubs.
- He joined a local group called Elverkets Spelmanslag.
1964 - He became the keyboard player of a rock 'n roll group called the Hep Stars.
1965 - Benny started to write his first own material for the band.
1966 - While touring with the Hep Stars, he met Björn Ulvaeus. Benny and Björn started composing together, and teamed up eventually.
1969 - The lead singer of the Hep Stars, Svenne Hedlund, his girlfriend Charlotte Walker and Benny decided to work together, but separately from the other Hep Stars members.
1978 - Married to fellow bandmember, Anni-Frid Lyngstad on October 6th.
- Together with Björn Ulvaeus and Björn's wife Agnetha Fältskog the couple would form one of the most famous popgroups in music history: ABBA.
1981 - He and Frida divorced and also ABBA gradually disbanded.
- Benny became more and more interested in music that extended beyond the confines of ABBA.
- Married to Mona Nörklit.
1985 - Benny established his own record company Mono Music, that has its offices on the island of Skeppsholmen in central Stockholm.
