Allston, Washington

1779 - Washinton Allston was born in Waccamaw, South Carolina on the 5th of November.

1800 - He graduated from Harvard College.

1801 - He went to London and entered the Royal Academy.

1803-1808 - He visited the great museums of Paris and Italy.

1809-1811 - He resided in his native country.

1811 - He was accompanied in Europe by Samuel F. B. Morse.

1817 - He painted in England.

1818-1830 - He returned to the United States and lived in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He practiced his profession at Boston.

1843 - He died in Cambridge, Massachusetts on the 9th of July 9.
