Allen, Hervey

1889 - Allen was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on December 8, 1889.

1926 - Wrote the biography of American writer Edgar Allan Poe entitled Israfel.

1933 - Wrote the novel entitled Anthony Adverse.

1943-1948 - Wrote the series novel entitled The Disinherited which is composed by the novels The Forest and the Fort, Bedford Village, and Toward the Morning.

1949 - Died of heart attack on December 28, 1949.
