1981 - Killed Detra Pettus.
1988 - Murdered Gloria Leathers, her lesbian lover on December 5, 1988.
1989 - Sentenced to death for the murder of Leathers.
2001 - She died by lethal injection on January 11, 2001. She was the first black woman to be executed since 1954.
