Allen, Richard Vincent

1960 - Received his bachelor's degree from the University of Notre Dame.

1962 - Became Senior Staff Analyst and Research Principal of the Center for Strategic and International Studies which he is one of the founder.

1965 - Received his master's degree from the University of Notre Dame.

1968 - Worked as a senior staff member of President Nixon's National Security Council. He was appointed Director of Foreign Policy Research for Nixon Presidential Campaign.

1970 - Became a member of the President's Commission on International Trade and Investment Policy.

1971-1972 - Appointed Deputy Assistant to the President for International Economic Affairs and Deputy Executive Director of the Council on International Economic Policy.

1977-1980 - Became the Chief Foreign and Defense Policy Advisor to Ronald Reagan.

1981-1982 - Became the United States National Security Advisor to President Ronald Reagan for one year term.

1983 - Became the Vice-Chairman of the International Democratic Union.

1984 - Became the Chairman of the International Democratic Union.

1988 - Appointed Director of political convention activities of the International Democratic Union.

1991-1992 - Member of the Task Force on International Broadcasting during the Bush Sr. Administration.
