Algardi, Alessandro
1598 - Alessandro Algardi was born in Bologna on the 31th of July.
1625 - He went to Rome with an introduction from the Duke of Mantua to the late pope's nephew.
1635 - His first major commission for a public work in marble.
1644 - He was employed by the Pope and the pope's nephew, Camillo Pamphilj.
1650 - He met Diego Velasquez.
1654 - He died in Rome on the 10th June.
