Alford, Kenneth

1881 - Kenneth Alford was born in London on the 21st of February.

1895 - He joined the Royal Irish Regiment as a musician.

1914 - Composed the march tune "Colonel Bogey March".

1927 - He was commissioned into the Royal Marines as a Director of Music.

1944 - He retired with the rank of Major.

1945 - He died in Reigate, Surrey on the 15th of May.
