Alfonso XIII

1886 - Alfonso XIII was born on the 17th of May.

1886-1931 - He was proclaimed King of Spain.

1902 - He assumed control of the government.

1906 - He married Princess Victoria Eugenie of Battenberg on the 31st May.

1909 - He was condemned for ordering the execution of the radical leader in Barcelona.

1931 - He abandoned the country with no formal abdiction when the Second Spanish Republic was proclaimed on the 14th of April.

1936 - He sent his son in Spain and participate in the uprising.

1941 - He died in Rome, Italy on the 28th of February.
