1925 - Shana Alexander was born on the 6th of October.

1945 - She graduated from Vassar College majoring in anthropology.

1951 - She became a researcher at Life after she worked as a freelancer writer for Junior Bazaar and Mademoiselle magazines.

1969 - She became the first female editor at McCall's.

1971 - She quit the post.

1975 - She wrote a column for Newsweek and debated kilpatrick for the next four years.

1979 - Alexander downplayed her high-profile role on "60 Minutes".

2005 - she died of cancer in Hermosa Beach, California on 23rd of June.
