Alexander III of Scotland

1241 - Alexander III was born on the 4th of September.

1249 - At the age of eight he succeeded the throne.

1251 - Married Margaret of England on December 26th.

1262 - Declared his intention of resuming the projects on the Western Isles and laid a formal claim before the Norwegian king Haakon.

1285 - Married Yolande de Dreux on November 1st.

1286 - Died on the 19th of March, he fell from his horse while on his way to visit the queen.
