1868 - Wrote a semiautobiographical account of her childhood years titled Little Women: or Meg, Jo, Beth and Amy.


1875 - Became the first woman to register to vote in Concord, Massachusetts.


1888 - Died in Boston on March 6, 1888 at the age fifty-six.
