1755 - Adams was born in Medfield, Massachusetts on October 2, 1755.
1767 - Her mother died when she was twelve years old. Acquired knowledge in Greek and Latin from divinity students.
1772 - Obliged to provide for themselves because their father went bankrupt. Supported herself by making and selling lace.
1784 - Adams principal work was the "View of Religious Opinions".
1799 - Published the "Summary History of New England".
1801 - Published her edited version of "An Abridgment of the History of New England".
1804 - Published her synthesis "The Truth and Excellence of the Christian Religion Exhibited". Adams described herself as a Unitarian Christian.
1832 - Adams died in Brookline, Massachusetts on December 15, 1831 and was buried in the prestigious Mount Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge.
