Adams, Charles Francis IV

1910 - Born on May 2, 1910 in Boston.

1932 - Attended Saint Mark School, graduated from Harvard College and attended Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration. Adams was a sixth generation Harvard legacy student (his great-great-great-grandfather, President John Adams graduated from Harvard in 1755).

1948-1960 - He served as the first president of the Raytheon Company.

1960-1962 - He served as the chairman of the Raytheon Company.

1999 - Died on January 5, 1999. Adams had been awarded honorary degrees by Suffolk University, Northeastern University, Bates College and Tufts University. He was the son of Charles Francis Adams III. He was the great-great-great-great grandson of John Adams.
