Abreu Gomez, Ermilo

1894 - He was born on the 18th of September in the city of Merida, Yucatan.

1947-1960 - He lived in the United States, in Washington, and during this period they offered him a charge in the Division of Philosophy and Lettering of the Pan-American Union.

1962 - He was a member of the Academy of the Language. In his facet as writer, he was in Yucatan that his first stories were published in a magazine called "La Revista de Mérida" (The Magazine of Merida).

         - He also wrote the "Contemporaeos"(Contemporaries) and "El Hijo Pródigo" (The Bountiful Son).

1918-1925 - He wrote scripts for synthetic theaters like "La Montaña" (The Mountain) and "El cacique" (The Chief).

         - Also he wrote a Mayan legend called " The Xtabay " with which it took part in the theater of the bat.

1947 - He wrote the novel "Quetzalcóatl, sueño y vigilia" (Quetzalcóatl, Sleep and Awake).

1951 - He made the novel "Naufragio de indios" (Shipwreck of Indians).

1959 - He wrote "Cuentos para contar al fuego"(Stories to count to the fire).
