1878 - Born on the 30th of December in Kippen, Ontario.
1902 - He married Jessie Flatt, with whom he had two daughters.
1905 - He taught public school in several areas in Southern Ontario, including Wingham and Brantford, and was appointed Principal of Brantford Central Public School.
1910 - He accepted a position as principal of Alexandra School in Calgary, Alberta.
1911 - He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario.
1918 - He began a Bible study group in Calgary, Alberta which grew steadily year-by-year.
1927 - He was appointed Dean of the newly-founded Calgary Prophetic Bible Institute.
1932 - He lobbied for the governing political party, the United Farmers of Alberta, to adopt these theories.
1935 - He won the provincial election by a landslide with over 54% of the popular vote.
1938 - His government eventually gained a foothold in the province's financial industry by creating the Alberta Treasury Branches.
1940 - His government was re-elected, although with only about 43% of the vote.
1943 - He died on the 23rd of May during a visit to Vancouver, British Columbia.
