1760 - Born in Leicestershire, the son of a clergyman, Lemuel Abbot (English clergyman and poet) and and his
wife Mary.
1775 - He became a pupil of Francis Hayman (and English painter and illustrator) and lived in London.
1800 - He became insane when he was about 40 and was attended by Dr. Thomas Munro, the chief physician to
Bethlem Hospital and a specialist in mental disorders.
1802 - He died on the 5th of December in London.
