1910 - Joseph Alsop was born on 11th of October in Avon, Connecticut.
1932 - He joined the New York Herald Tribune as a staff reporter.
1936 - He moved to Washington, D.C., bureau.
1937-1940 - He wrote his Washington political column entitled "The Capital Parade" and was later renamed "Matter of Fact".
1946-1958 - He continued to write his column with his brother Stewart.
1950 - He warned of an "iron half-century".
1974 - He retired from his work.
1989 - He died on the 28th of August.
