1924 - Alexander was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on the 30th of January.
1940 - Attended and graduated from Upper Darby High School.
1943 - Joined the United States Army during World War II.
1944 - After his training in Wales, he was promoted to staff sergeant in intelligence and counterintelligence.
1946 - Went to study at the University of Paris where he met his wife, Janine Denni. They were married the same year.
1955 - Wrote and published his first book entitled "And Let the Credit Go".
1956 - Wrote the book entitled "My Five Tigers".
1958 - Wrote the book entitled "August Bondi: Border Hawk".
1960 - Wrote the book entitled "Aaron Lopez: The Flagship Hope".
1963 - Wrote the books entitled "Fifty Years in the Doghouse and Time Cat: The Remarkable Journeys of Jason & Gareth".
1964-1970 - Wrote the novel series entitled "The Chronicles of Prydain". He also published two books entitled "The Truthful Harp and The Marvelous Misadventures of Sebastian".
1971 - Wrote the book entitled "The King's Fountain".
1972 - Wrote the book entitled "The Four Donkeys".
1973 - Wrote the book entitled "The Cat Who Wished to be a Man".
1978 - Wrote the book entitled "The First Two Lives of Lucas-Kasha".
1986 - Alexander won the "Regina Medal for Lifetime Achievement from the Catholic Library Association".
1991 - Wrote the book entitled "The Remarkable Journey of Prince Jen".
1992 - Wrote the book entitled "The Fortune-Tellers".
1997 - Wrote the book entitled "The Iron Ring".
