1924 - Born on the 1st of October at Southwest Georgia U.S.A.

1946 - He  received a Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Naval Academy.

       - He served on a Submarines in the Atlantic and Pacific Fleets.

       - He married Rosalynn Smith.

1953 - He studied nuclear physics and reactor technology for several months at Union College New York.

1960 - He served two terms in the Georgia Senate from the fourteenth district of Georgia.

1972 - He signed new legislation to authorize the death penalty for murder, rape and other offenses.

1974 - He became the chairman of the Democratic National Committee's congressional and

            gubernatorial  campaigns.

1977 - He became the 39th President of the United States of America.

1979 - He received the Gold Medal from International Institute for Human Rights.

1980 - He ran in the presidential election as a president but he was defeated by Ronald Reagan.

1982 - He established the Carter Center to advance human rights and alleviate unnecessary human suffering.

1999 - He received the award of Presidential Medal of Freedom (one of the two highest Civilian Awards

            in United States).
