Bennett, William John
1943 - Born on the 31st of July in Brooklyn, New York.
1965 - Finished BA Philosophy, at Williams College.
1970 - Received his PhD Philosophy, in University of Texas.
1971 - Awarded JD, by Harvard University.
- Became Professor in Boston University, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, North Carolina State University.
1981 - National Endowment for the Humanities President.
1982 - Married Mary Elayne Glover on 29th of May.
1985-1988 - Served as the U.S. Secretary of Education.
1989-1990 - He was appointed Drug Czar under George H.W. Bush, the first to hold this position.
1992 - Wrote The De-Valuing of America: The Fight for Our Culture and Our Children.
1993 - With Jack Kemp, co-founded Empower America.
1995 - Authored the book Moral Compass: Stories for a Life's Journey.
1997 - Our Sacred Honor "97', compilation of writings by founding fathers"
2003 - Wrote Why We Fight:Moral Clarity and the War on Terrorism.
