Bannister, Roger Gilbert

1929 - Born on the 23rd of March in Harrow, Middlesex, England.

He took up his High School at City of Bath Boys School.    

Roger was educated in Oxford University.    

Studied in St. Mary's Hospital Medical School, Paddington, London.

1954 - Bannister ran a mile in 3:59:4 on 6th of May at Oxford University.

1955 - Married Moyra Elver Jacobsson.

1955 - Bannister Authored the book First Four Minutes.

1956 - Established a world record and earning himself Sports Illustrated's first "Sportsman of the Year" award.

1975 - Bannister received an award from Knight of the British Empire.
