1967 - Joan Baez gave free concerts supporting civil rights, UNESCO, and anti-Vietnam war rallies, Baez and her mother nearly seventy other women had been arrested for supporting young men who refused military induction.
1968 - Published an autobiography, Daybreak.
1980 - Joan was given Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degrees by both Antioch University and Rutgers University for her political activism and the "universality of her music".
1988 - Invited to sing at a communist music festival in communist Czechoslovakia.
2001 - The re-releasing Baez' first 13 albums that she recorded with them between 1960 and 1971 as part of their Original Master Series.
