1307 – Born in Arezzo on the 20th of July.

1316-1320 – He studied at Montpellier and Bologna.

1320–1326 – His father insisted he study the law.

1336 – Petrarch claimed that on the 26th of April, with his brother and two servants, he climbed to the top of Mont Ventoux.

1341 – He brought back the poet laureate tradition from antiquity, and was crowned in Rome.

1374 – Died on the 19th of July.
