1761 - Graduated from the University of Pennsylvania at Philadelphia.
1771 - Register of the admiralty until the Revolution and entered the Revolutionary Army and served as captain.
1776-1781 - Served as secretary of the Continental Board of War.
1782-1883 - Member of the Continental Congress.
1787 - Member of the state assembly and served as speaker.
1791 - Served in the state senate and was speaker.
1792 - Judge of the district court of Pennsylvania.
1828 - Died on August 22nd in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
