1858 -  Emmeline Goulden was born on July 14 in in Manchester, England.

          - Her father, Robert Goulden was a successful businessman and committed abolitionist

          - Her mother, Sophia Crane was active in the early days of the British suffragette movement and Emmeline would accompany her mother to suffrage meetings from a young age.

 

1889 - Emmeline Pankhurst was one of the founders of the Women's Franchise League.

 

1928 - She died on June 14 in London.
