1944 - Richard Frank Oznowicz, born on the 25th of May in Hereford, England to French parents — a Jewish father and Catholic mother, both of Polish descent. Better known as Frank Oz, is an English-born American film director, actor and puppeteer.
1949 - Moved to California, United States with his parents when he was five years old.
1963 - He began working with Henson and was a key player as the Muppets became regulars on the children's program Sesame Street.
1976 -1981 - Starred in their own comedy program, The Muppet Show. It was on the latter show that Miss Piggy's persistent pursuit of Kermit the Frog made her a household name.
1980 - He worked with George Lucas to create and voice the mystical midget Yoda for The Empire Strikes Back and subsequent Star Wars sequels.
1981 - 1985 - As an actor he has had cameo roles in several movies directed by John Landis, including An American Werewolf in London, Trading Places and Spies Like Us.
1986 - He also directs live-action films, including the cult favorite Little Shop of Horrors.
