Jaime Gerardo Roberto Marcelino Marķa Ortiz Lizardi (Ortiz, Roberto)
1886 - Born on the 24th of September in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
1905 - As a student at the University of Buenos Aires, he participated in an unsuccessful revolution.
1909 - He graduated from the university and became a lawyer.
1920 - He became active in the Radical Civic Union and was elected to the Argentine National Congress.
1925-1928 - He served as minister of public works.
1930 - He supported the revolution and served as treasury minister.
1937 - He was the official government candidate and won, though the opposition accused him of participating in fraud, as irregularities were widespread.
1938-1942 - He was President of Argentina.
1940 - Became seriously ill with diabetes and in August, he gave up his powers to vice-president Ramón Castillo.
1942 - Died on the 15th of July.
