1944 - Born on April 3rd in New York City.

1963 - He was employed at April-Blackwood Music and rose to general manager within a few years.

1964 - Married Elaine and they had a son.

1970-1976 - He was the vocalist of the band, Tony Orlando and Dawn.

         - The group was offered their own summer variety TV series and it clicked with audiences. Their Sonny & Cher-styled show, which mixed song and dance with light slapstick comedy, lasted two seasons.

         - He appeared in "A Star Is Born".

1977 - A problems with drugs, coupled with the deaths of his sister and comedian/pal Freddie Prinze, led to a major emotional breakdown. He left the group "Tony Orlando and Dawn" shortly after.

1990 - He bought a theater in Branson, Missouri, naming it "Tony Orlando Yellow Ribbon Music Theatre" and provided retro kitsch by reuniting for a time with former "Dawn" members Telma Hopkins and Joyce Vincent Wilson from time to time and going on the road.

1998 - He was acquitted from sexual harrassment charges on March 20th.

2002 - He appeared in the movie, "Waking Up in Reno".

         - He co-wrote his memoir, "Halfway to Paradise" with Patsi Bale Cox.

         - Did a very energetic performance at the "One Less Tear" cancer benefit in Philipsburg, Pennsylvania on Wednesday July 24th.

2006 - He wrote "Tie A Yellow Ribbon - While We Are Apart".
