Ong Teng Cheong
1936 - Born on the 22nd of January in Singapore.
1950 - He studied in Chung Cheng Primary School and The Chinese High School.
1985 - He was a champion of the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) system.
- He became the 2nd Deputy Prime Minister.
1993 - He ran for the presidency under PAP's endorsement.
- He became embroiled in a dispute with the government over the access of information regarding Singapore's financial reserves.
1999 - He decided not to run for a second term as president.
2002 - He died on the 8th of February in Singapore.
